October Blues II

Now the time of the fall blooming crocuses has begun. This is one is Crocus pulchellus, a name that literally means 'beautiful crocus'. This is true, indeed. It is a delicate plant that is native to Turkey but it does not cause much problems in cultivation here. The only thing it dislikes is too much rain during flower season, so sunny days in October are very welcome!
