Withstanding Winter

Finally some snow has fallen! Only for one day so far but I've got the chance to take some photos of the winter bloomers with ambience!

This is Adonis Fukujukai, a Japanese selection of the Amur Pheasant's Eye. Several species can be found in the Russian Far East, Northern China and Japan, but only the Japanese people have a long tradition in cultivating this beautiful plant. Nowadays, it's still rare but can be purchased without problems.
