This is one of the many double varieties of Ranunculus asiaticus.
 The pure wild form, native to the Eastern Mediterranean, is very pretty, too. Those who ever hiked the hills of Crete, for instance, will certainly remember the masses of white, yellow, pink and deep red flowers flowering everywhere in spring.  |
