Patagonian Beauty

The spring starflower Ipheion uniflorum, a beautiful bulbous plant from Patagonia, sends its flowers in early spring.

It's a pity but it's one of the less known bulbs for spring flowering, although it's cheap, beautiful and easy in culture, with only one disadvantage: it's not completely hardy in areas with severe winters.
