Orchid hybrids of the genus Phalaenopsis have become ideal plants for the windowsill for a decade or even more, since they are fairly easy to grow, and most of them produce flowers without problems. In addition, the nurseries have been offering smaller Phalaenopsis hybrids during the last years, and among them one can find even miniature orchids. I have a number of those little gems, and every one of them is very interesting and amazing, although they need a little more care than the standard hybrids.

In the picture you can see Phal. Mini Mark, a mid-size hybrid between Phal. maculata x Phal. parishii ( = Phal. Micro Nova) and Phal. philippinensis. Sometimes, the flowers produce a fine fragrance, and I especially like the vibrant orange color of their lips.

The Orchid pretty!
Excellent shot, my dear Kevin!!
