As some of you may have noticed I cannot spend much time at dA at the moment. The reason is simple: I'm too busy with my job - that's all! ;)

Today we had a fine autumn day, however, and I took the opportunity to take some pictures of Crocus flowers. There are several true species of Crocus flowering in autumn - not to be mismatched with Colchicum, which is often referred to as 'autumn crocus' but is merely a look-alike.

Many of these crocuses are as beautiful as the well-known spring bloomers and quite easily cultivated, for instant Crocus speciosus on my picture. :aww: It looks similar to the Saffron Crocus, Crocus sativus - but this one needs warmer regions and does not flower well here therefore.

Full view is advantageous. :)
