Oxalis obtusa from South Africa shows bright pink flowers over a carpet of small silvery-green leaves. Prefers full size view! :)

For those who want to know more: ;)

Almost everyone has already seen the lucky clover or four-leaf sorrel, Oxalis tetraphylla (syn. Oxalis deppei, see here). There are, however, about 800 other species in this genus, amongst them the common Wood sorrel, for instance. Most Oxalis are originating from South Africa, Brazil and Mexico.

Some species can definitely be regarded as annoying weeds but others are real beauties, such as the shown Oxalis obtusa - a species that provides several varieties with flower colors ranging from white and yellow to pink and apricot-orange (please have a look here!). :D
